Ein Hugo für jedes Buch der Trilogie. Damit hat Jemisin wirklich Hugo-Geschichte geschrieben. Hat denn schon jemand den 1. Band (oder die ganze Trilogie) gelesen? Ist es das Meisterwerk, das man nach 3 Hugos vermuten muss?

Danke für den Link! Boah, was für riesige Anstecker!! Ich versteh' zwar nicht viel, aber das geht mir beim Oscar auch immer so. Die Atmosphäre zählt.

Der Klassiker dürfte der "Roboter" von Karel Čapek sein. "Traktorstrahl", "Beamen" oder "HAL 9000" haben auch Einzug ins "normale" Leben gehalten.

Kein "normaler" Mensch, den ich kenne, weiß, was ein Traktorstrahl ist. Auch HAL ist sicher nicht so populär, wie wir manchmal denken. Es gehört schon viel Spezialwissen dazu, diese Begriffe einzuordnen.
Da ist "Roboter" ein ganz anderes Kaliber.

Sehr ich auch so. HAL kennt praktisch niemand. Traktorstrahl lässt viele wohl an ein landwirtschaftliches Nutzfahrzeug denken. Beamen ist natürlich bei uns bekannt.
Ansonsten haben sich ein bisschen der Begriff Neusprech (Orwell) durchgesetzt. Und was Muggle sind, weiß seit Rowling auch jeder.
