Space Opera, Catherynne M. Valente (Saga) Auf deutsch erscheint es unter gleichem Titel bei Tor am 24.4., es ist Valentes zweite Nominierung in der Roman-Kategorie
Anmerkung Doop: Diese Roman-Liste bedeutet, dass wir in diesem Jahr einen Hugo-Gewinner in der Königskategorie bekommen, der noch nie zuvor den Hugo für den besten Roman mit nach Hause nehmen konnte. THE GOOD PLACE ist extrem gut. Die nominierten Episoden sind herausragend, aber nur marginal relativ zum Rest der Serie. "Janets" ist aber eine der Episoden mit höherem SF-Anteil in einer Serie, die man insgesamt eher der Phantastik zuordnen muss. Daher wohl die Nominierung.

Das Album finde ich auch richtig gut, aber es gibt dazu auch eine Art SF-Film bzw. verlängertes Musikvideo. Mit “When We Were Starless“ von Simone Heller (Clarkesworld 10/18) ist in der Kategorie Best Novelette übrigens eine deutsche Autorin nominiert (die aber direkt auf Englisch schreibt).

Die hervorragende Novelette “Mimsy Were the Borogoves” ist in Deutschland als "Gar elump war der Pluckerwank" erschienen und ebenfalls noch erhältlich in Robert Silverbergs Anthologie SF Hall of Fame 1, erschienen bei Golkonda.
Dagegen ist die Short Story “King of the Gray Spaces” bzw. “R is for Rocket” nie übersetzt wurden, was ich bei einer Geschichte von Bradbury eher erstaunlich finde. (Der hat aber auch 'ne Menge Kurzgeschichten geschierben der Bradbury.)
