Hugo awards organisers reveal thousands spent on fraudulent votes to help one writer win

The science fiction and fantasy prize says it has culled 377 votes mostly for ‘Finalist A’, who will not be disqualified as there is no proof they were aware

Ja, hat Locus auch schon berichtet. Wenn man die betrügerischen Stimmen herausrechnet, reicht es zum Glück für Finalist A, dem man kein eigenes Wissen um die Vorgänge nachweisen kann, nicht zum Sieg in der betroffenen Kategorie.

Sehr schön ist die kurze Einführung von John Scalzi, der kurz erklärt was die Hugos sind und was sie ausmacht.

Spiel und Spielfilm hab ich schon mal abgehakt.

Einer der seltenen Fälle, wo wir bereits am Tag der Preisverleihung den besten Roman und das beste Sachbuch (related work) in deutscher Übersetzung vorliegen haben. Ich werde beides so bald wie möglich lesen.

Lesezirkel? Weil, ich will den Gewinner auch lesen.
