Drei der nominierten Romane sind bereits auf deutsch erschienen, und zwar

„The Buffalo Hunter Hunter“ von Stephen Graham Jones im Buchheim Verlag als wunderschöne signierte limitierte Hardcover-Ausgabe (hab ich ) aber auch als nicht signiertes und nicht limitiertes eBook.

„Katabasis“ von R.F. Kuang bei Eichborn. Ich denke sie holt damit den Hugo als Wiedergutmachung für die gezinkten China-Hugos.

„Tod der Autorin“ von Nnedi Okorafor bei Ullstein.

Stephen Graham Jones‘ Buch ist ein gefeierter Horror-Roman, der im Sommer auch auf Barack Obamas Leseliste stand. Ich denke, den Nebula wird er wegen des Genres eher nicht gewinnen, aber bestimmt einen Locus, den Stoker und vielleicht auch noch den Shirley Jackson Award.

Auch der Roman von Natalia Theodoridou ist ein Horror-Roman, hat aber nicht so hohe Wellen geschlagen wie der von Jones.

Tod der Autorin von Okorafor ist zu recht auf der Liste. Aber interessant ist auch Tesh. Ob das übersetzt wird?
