Ein Roman ist bereits auf deutsch draußen, ein zweiter kommt im Mai, ein dritter im August, ein vierter im Januar. Optimistisch bin ich auch bei Hodgson, dass der Roman noch kommt.

Was mich wirklich erstaunt ist, dass R.F. Kuangs sehr erfolgreiches Katabasis nicht nominiert wurde, nachdem man ihr beim China-Con die Nominierung und vielkeicht auch den Hugo Award gestohlen hatte. Ich hätte da doch etwas Wiedergutmachung erwartet.

Ich fand Babel damals schon nur so mittel, ich glaube nicht das Katabasis viel besser ist.

Wie dem auch sei, was die Spiele angeht, davon hab ich zumindest vier gespielt:

Blue Prinz: Ein Rouge-like Adventure. Das heißt, man geht jeden Tag in ein Haus hinein das mna jeden Tag neu aufbauen muss (aus einem Satz Spielkarten). Je älter ich werde, desto lieber spiele ich Rouge-likes, und ich finde es immer wieder bemerkeswert was das Grene alles hergibt.

Dann Claire Obscure Expedition 33: Das wird vermutlich der Gewinner werden, wegen seiner unglaublichen optischen Opulenz. Zudem ist es noch ein völlig neues Grene, ein Souls-like Runden RPG. Sowas gabs vorher noch nicht, ist dafür aber fast schon unmenschlich schwer.

Hades 2: Da hab ich schon in den Vorgänger viel Zeit investiert, auch das ein Rouge-like. Wo man im ersten Teil aus dem Hades fliehen musste ist man hier damit beschäftigt an der Seite von Hecate den Titanen der Zeit zu töten. Grichische Mythologie: aufgedreht auf 11. Hab ich mir meiner Tochter gespielt, ich konnte ihr noch was beibringen.

Dispatch: Man arbeitet als Einsatzleiter für eine Truppe von unterklassigen Superhelden (ehemaligen Schurken), die man zu verschiedenen Eisätzen schicken muss. Der Teil des Spieles ist von "This is the Police", der zweite Teil ist von den alten Tell Tell Games, heißt: man macht Konversation und muss Entscheidungen treffen die sich auf das Zusammenleben der Truppe auswirkt (auch das mit Tochter gespielt, deswegen habe habe ich keine Romanze am Arbeitsplatz angefangen, war dafür aber ein vorbildlicher Teamleiter, naja)
